Cassandra Oscar is an accomplished songwriter, composer and performer from Sydney.
She began writing music when she was learning the piano, drawn to the idea of expressing her own thoughts through music.
Jazz has always had a special place in her heart. Her parents listened to jazz throughout her childhood and she was enamoured by the writing style of jazz standards.
Today she writes music across many genres and is also experienced in music production.
She is a performer, showcasing her original jazz songs, in addition to performing a number of well-known jazz classics.
She has performed at leading venues, under her current and former artist names, including:
- Opera Bar
- The Vanguard
- Bondi Icebergs
- The Arthouse
- The Golden Sheaf
- and more.
Festival appearances include the Festival of Balmain, Manly Jazz Festival and Glebe Festival among others.
She also performs at events across Sydney and NSW.
She composes music across a range of genres which you can hear on her YouTube and SoundCloud channels. She sees music as one of the highest forms of communication and continually searches for ways to express thoughts and emotions through the many genres of music.
In June 2026 she announced a new album of original jazz songs to be released in August 2026. The first single Maybe I Do was released on June 1.
She is available for songwriting and composing work across most genres.
