Cassandra Oscar is an accomplished songwriter, composer and performer from Sydney.
She began writing music when she was learning the piano, drawn to the idea of expressing her own thoughts through music.
Jazz has always had a special place in her heart. Her parents listened to jazz throughout her childhood and she was enamoured by the writing style of jazz standards.
Today she writes music across many genres and is also experienced in music production.
She is also a performer, showcasing her original jazz songs, in addition to performing a number of well-known jazz classics.
She has performed at leading venues including:

- The Golden Sheaf

Cassandra’s love of jazz is extensive. What makes it so special is the variety of chord textures that can express the intricacies of emotion. It also has rhythm and soul.
Cassandra has written countless jazz songs which delight and inspire audiences. From her popular song Jazzy Cat, to the soulful blues style of No One To Call, her songs are well received with audiences.
In addition to performing her own songs, she performs a number of well-known classics such as Fever, Don’t Know Why, Moondance and Love Shack, to name a few.
She performs at venues and events across NSW and beyond.

Cassandra has been immersed in composing music from a young age, drawn by the way it speaks directly to the soul. With an unwavering passion for songwriting, she has dedicated herself to mastering the many languages of music, honing her craft across various instruments including piano, guitar, drums, and vocals, as well as delving into music production, and composition at university.
